Parimatch AML & KYC Policy
This page explains how Parimatch prevents money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes. The platform operates in full compliance with international anti-money laundering standards and cooperates with regulators and law enforcement when required. By creating an account, you accept these rules and confirm that your funds come from legal sources.
Why This Policy Exists
Online gambling platforms can be targeted by individuals looking to move illicit funds. Parimatch has a dedicated Compliance Department responsible for developing and enforcing AML/KYC procedures. Every employee is required to follow these measures.
The policy is built around several key legal frameworks, including the National Ordinance Penalization of Money Laundering (NOPML), the National Ordinance on the Reporting of Unusual Transactions (NORUT), the National Ordinance on Identification of Clients When Rendering Services (NOIS), EU Directive 2018/843, and the FATF recommendations.
The Compliance Department monitors operations to make sure they meet international standards for combating money laundering and terrorist financing.
Know Your Customer (KYC)
Parimatch verifies the identity of every user before allowing withdrawals or access to certain features. This is standard procedure across licensed gambling platforms and exists to prevent fraud and protect both users and the company. Documents required for verification:
- A colour copy of a valid passport (the first two pages with photo and personal details, plus the page with a residential address stamp if available);
- Alternatively, a colour copy of a national ID card;
- Additional documents may be requested, including a driving licence and utility bills as proof of address;
- Phone number confirmation is mandatory as part of the verification process.
Parimatch reserves the right to request further documentation at any time to complete AML checks and meet compliance standards.
When verification is triggered
- Before the first withdrawal;
- When deposits or withdrawals reach certain thresholds;
- If the system flags unusual account activity;
- During routine compliance checks.
All documents must be clear, unedited, and readable. Blurry photos or expired IDs will be rejected.
Transaction Rules
Withdrawals are only processed after identity verification is complete. Funds can only be sent to an account belonging to the verified account holder. Third-party withdrawals and internal transfers between user accounts are both prohibited.
If the withdrawal method differs from the deposit method, Parimatch may request additional information before processing the transaction.
Transaction Monitoring
Parimatch monitors all account activity for signs of suspicious behaviour. Red flags that may trigger an investigation include the following:
- Cash deposits from questionable sources, for example when sender details do not match the account holder;
- Large deposits followed by fast withdrawals with little or no gaming activity;
- Signs of fraud, including payment refunds or cancellations;
- Attempts to use another person’s identity or payment method;
- Refusal to provide requested documents.
When suspicious activity is detected, Parimatch reserves the right to conduct an internal investigation, block or close the account, cancel payments, and suspend all operations until the investigation is complete. These decisions are guided by applicable law and do not create grounds for civil liability toward the user.
During an investigation, Parimatch may request additional copies of identity documents, bank cards used for deposits, payment records, and other materials confirming the legal origin and ownership of funds. Original documents may also be requested.
Users classified under high-risk jurisdictions are subject to enhanced scrutiny.
Data Sharing and Retention
Parimatch is legally required to share customer information with financial institutions and law enforcement authorities when applicable laws demand it. This can happen without obtaining prior consent from the user. By using the platform, you agree to this.
All user data, betting history, and payment transaction records are retained for a minimum of five years.
Reporting
Parimatch is not required to inform users when an investigation is underway. Tipping someone off could interfere with law enforcement, so certain information stays confidential. Exceptions include notifying users about service suspension, refusal to process a request, or document requests.
Your Responsibilities
By using Parimatch, you agree to the following:
- All information you provide is accurate and up to date;
- Your deposited funds are obtained from legal sources and belong to you;
- You will not use the platform for money laundering, fraud, or any other illegal purposes;
- You will cooperate with verification requests and provide documents upon request;
- You will not attempt to engage in illegal financial activities, directly or indirectly, through the platform;
- Violation of these rules may result in account closure, confiscation of funds, and referral to the appropriate authorities.
This AML/KYC policy is an integral part of the Customer Agreement governing the terms and conditions under which you have an account on the Parimatch website.
